Goals for last term and High School

My Goals

I would like to learn about ratios and scales, how to find out the area of a curved shape and  how to convert between percentage, decimals and fractions. And also some strategies used in narrative writing, and also how to do division with decimals. A way I can achieve these goals is participating with the class, trying my best and always being enthusiastic. Another goal I could aim for is shortening down my notes so I can write faster, because I will need this in high school and university.

Comments

With these goals, I believe I am going well and already have achieved some goals. I have learnt more about ratios and scales because since I am starting to understand math more I understand ratios more. Sadly we haven’t found the area of curved shape because that’s pretty high math and I’m in year 6. And I have found out how to convert between all fraction types. And I am on the way with my narrative because of I am told my narrative is going well so far, but we have not done decimal division.

Future Goals

Next year I am in high school so my goals will be about high school, so I would like to be always open to new learning opportunities, and will be ready for the new advanced subjects. I will also be open minded about the new subjects that they offer, like woodwork, biology, business, etc. that primary school has not offered us. I also know high school is much harder on homework, so I will be more organised and plan my homework so I get it done, I will also have to make new friends in the yard.

Space Reflection #4

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLuq3CKqky8&feature=youtu.be

This article was about how a company named spacex is willing to try and send people to mars and start a colonisation there.

The company spacex wants to send 100 people on a spaceship to mars using one main rocket and 3 gas refuelling rockets, but while doing this they say it will take 80 days to get to mars which is an incredibly fast time and it will have a very low cost per rocket not even breaking the $200,000 mark, which is a very low price. They man running the lecture was talking about how to get there how to start a colony and getting everyone there in the first place , but he forgot to mention health, food, water and oxygen; Which you cannot find that much of on mars. When he was talking about the fuel he said he will be using methane gas, on Wikipedia they said this is a very popular fuel and I knew that our farts contain a bit of methane, so it is some sort of natural gas from plants and food, etc. He is also using this gas because for the return journey he says that the people on mars can harvest methane gas from mars itself and use that as a fuel, but from what will he harvest this from? As you can see spacex is a high end company and is dealing with some pretty high tech stuff, but I wonder if this is a government supported company and if they are legally allowed to send these people to space and most likely die if this becomes a reality?
